PREPARE TO MEET THE LORD!

I'd like to close with this warning,
"Prepare to meet the Lord!"
I believe we're in the latter days
According to His Word.

There're many biblical prophecies
That already are fulfilled;
The Lord's return is imminent
According to His will.

Believers in Christ will soon arise
To meet Him in the air . . .
A glorious reunion
With Jesus, our Lord, we'll share!

If you don't know Jesus as Savior,
You're forever lost, you see . . .
There is no time to hesitate,
You must in the Lord believe.

He is the Way, the Truth, the Life . . .
He'll change your destination;
Accept Him as your personal Lord . . .
Let today be your day of salvation.

FREE IN CHRIST

"If the Son shall set you free,
You shall be free indeed."
These precious words our Savior spoke-
The assurance that we need.

We don't always fully realize
The freedom that He gives:
To be free in Christ, not bound by law,
As in our heart He lives.

He removes from us our heart of stone
And give us a new heart within:
He lives to intercede for us
To free us from the power of sin.

This freedom that we have in Him
Is His gift to us by grace;
He equips us for every trial
Or testing we'll ever face.

Yes, we truly are free in Christ
By grace He wants us to live;
Nothing in life compares to it
For this freedom only Christ can give.

HEALED

It seems to me, we can get hung up
On various hurts from our past;
We spend so much time and energy
Analyzing ourselves 'til at last . . .

We keep the wound from healing
By constantly opening it up;
Instead of cleansing it once and for all
So the festering will stop.

We concentrate on the negative
Filled with bitterness and strife-
Hurts and pains inflicted on us
By others in our life.

We still are filled with anger
That is eating at us from within;
We're hurting ourselves by not dealing with it
Not to mention that this is a sin!

We must learn to forgive our abuser
By an act of our will everyday;
We forget that God is a just God:
That someday the abuser will pay.

For whatever has been done to us
The Lord is well aware;
No matter how it seemed at the time,
He was with us and really did care.

And life is short, with so little time
To dwell on things in our past:
So let's clean out the wound, once and for all,
So the healing begins at last.

And we know who does the healing . . .
It's not us, but our Savior and Lord
Who is the Great Physician
Who heals by the power of His Word.

He is always willing to hear us-
Wonderful Counselor is He;
When our lives have been healed by His loving touch,
Then we'll know just how great life can be.
