MASTERPIECE
Lord, I want to be an instrument
Finely tuned and on key;
I want to play divine music
So others will be able to see . . .
This is a melody from Jesus
To tell of His sweet love;
A song to play throughout the day
That is sent from heaven above.
When my life is full of discord
And it lacks all harmony;
Let me play this song from Jesus
So others may be able to see . . .
That the music is unusual,
To the world it is brand new;
But the composer of this masterpiece
Has a part for me and you:
We'll become part of His symphony
With music from above;
More beautiful than ever heard
With a melody of love.
This song is being conducted
By an unseen heavenly hand;
There is perfect orchestration
In this future, heavenly band.
Now I'm told practice makes perfect,
So I pray that every day
I will learn this song 'til I'm confident
Of the part I'm meant to play . . .
To bring praise to the conductor
And may the music never cease;
For there are many listeners waiting
That need to hear this masterpiece.

I GIVE MY PAISE TO YOU
You alone are worthy, Lord,
The only one and living God;
Omniscient, holy, perfect,
Shedding Your love abroad.
Omnipotent, omnipresent,
You never leave us alone;
Immutable, unchangeable.
Your nature to us You've shown.
Merciful and gracious,
Compassionate, longsuffering too;
Always full of lovingkindness
There's no other God but You.
You are righteous and You're loving,
Casting out every fear;
You are always fair and good,
And You are always near.
You inhabit our praises,
Eternal God Thou art;
You are perfect love and wisdom
That You freely to us impart.
You alone are sovereign
And always gracious and just;
You also are a jealous God,
Hating sin and lust.
You alone are worthy, Lord;
You're always faithful and true;
Your love endures forever,
And I give my praise to You.
